Did somebody say "HaCHOOO"?? Bless you!! Brrrr! We are in the thick of it. Winter has arrived at our doorstep, with a chip on her shoulder. But we know better than to call her bluff. She WILL retaliate with a vengeance. So let's discuss phlegm. These are the benefits:

Moisturization: Phlegm helps keep the mucous membranes in the respiratory tract moist, which is essential for comfortable breathing.

Defense Mechanism: It traps dust, allergens, bacteria, and viruses, preventing them from entering the lungs and causing infections.

Healing: In response to irritation or infection, the body produces more phlegm to help clear out pathogens and facilitate healing.

Cough Reflex: Phlegm can trigger the cough reflex, helping to expel irritants and maintain respiratory health.

However, too much phlegm can be a sign of underlying conditions and can prevent us from using our vocals properly. To combat it, we must stay hydrated. WATER. WATER. WATER; spicy foods; medications and more. Let's keep each other healthy and foxy this winter, Famz.
